BIOGRAPHY
FROM THE BEGINNING…
Joshua Weathersby dedicated his life to stimulating the collective imaginations of the American public the moment he discovered the power of mythology in modern life. As owner and driving force behind the highly successful END Studios, Weathersby draws upon a rich technological and experiential background, bringing dynamic artistry to his extensive client base. Carving out his name as a player in the independent film market with the short “The Angler” starring Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Weathersby is poised to launch his sci-urban style to the big screen, exploring new epic cinematic experiences for the tech savvy modern audience.
A former Chicago cab driver and child actor, Weathersby started his life as future film alchemist, dissecting and re-assembling gadgets and tech games and working on studio sets in Hollywood CA. Moving to Zion, IL when he was still in Velcro sneakers, Weathersby picked up Heinlien’s Stranger in a Strange Land and The Golden Book of Mythology and drew that fateful connection between Greek bedtime stories and his comic hero – the Flash. A college freshman at age 15, he set to gain a reputation as a storyboard layout artist and found himself in demand by the Artistic Communications Center in Chicago, a production house, where he designed and created unique visual advertising layouts, logos, and illustrations for a variety of clients such as the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, the Illinois Fatherhood Initiative, The National Medical Association and Johnson’s Products.
After a year long stint as a cab driver in Kenosha, WI, Weathersby dropped off his cab, grabbed his collection of unique urban stories and experiences and headed for Los Angeles. Working freelance in all departments of the film industry, Weathersby began honing his film craft. He focused on understanding all aspects of the cinematic process. After fine-tuning his style as a director/editor/graphic artist, Weathersby formed END Studios.
Weathersby has not abandoned his comic/mythic roots. Collaborating with local LA artists on several films, music videos and scripts, his most recent work can be seen on “Sour”, the Israeli/Arab fusion skate documentary. Developing his international eye, Weathersby continues to cultivate and push the imaginations of audiences and is currently in production on two feature films, both of which are premiering onto the international festival circuit and major distribution release. He is currently developing his next feature film epic. Joshua is currently seeking representation.
